jack and i were alone for dinner tonight and i was craving pasta, so i whipped up a a super simple homemade creamy tomato sauce using a bag of my frozen tomato sauce that we made in february and added sauteed broccoli and parmesan cheese...scrumptious!
spaghetti with broccoli in a creamy tomato sauce:
defrost one bag of tomato sauce (click on link to find recipe). and start a pot of water to boil.
heat a dab of olive oil in a large skillet. when hot, add 4 cloves of minced garlic. next, add broccoli and saute until almost done. while the broccoli is cooking, you should be adding your spaghetti to your now boiling water.
pour your tomato sauce into the skillet with the broccoli and cook until warm and bubbly. next, add about 1/4 cup of whole milk or cream and stir. cook for another 5 minutes or so.
plate your spaghetti, top with the broccoli tomato sauce, and sprinkle on parmesan cheese. enjoy!
