We joyfully welcomed the first day of summer with a dinner outdoors and Mama happily reading on the deck until the late hours of the night. This coincided with Jack's last day at his Jewish day school. We have been so happy with the wonderful care he has received there and we will miss all the cheerful, warm faces that have become part of our extended Seattle family. Jack is growing up (gasp!), so he will begin school at a preschool Montessori in July.
And, perhaps the biggest and most exciting news of the week (of the year?) is that today, David is working his last day as a surgical intern! Not only is this a huge milestone that he has accomplished, but it also marks a full year of no on-call and NO WEEKENDS OF WORK! We have not enjoyed that kind of luxury since Jack has been born. It will be such a nice lifestyle change for the 3 of us and, we are particularly excited that the nicer schedule begins with summer!
