Since this is over a week late and it seems that his eleven month milestone will be right around the corner, I will save a longer post for that time and just share, for now, a few bits and photos that define Rigby at his current stage of life.
He likes to eat books more than he likes to read them.
He always wants to be on the floor and while his crawl has been mastered (and, boy, is he everfast! I have no memory of Jack being on the go this much. Now, I completely understand the need for baby proofing!), he has only pulled up to a stand once or twice, but I am sure this will happen more and more over the next few weeks.
His infatuation and complete adoration for Jack is unfailing. No one brightens up his day more.
He has 4 teeth- two on the top and two on the bottom. They always seem to arrive in pairs. He loves eating larger pieces of food now, but he often has his hands too full of toys to pick the food pieces up himself! He's not happy during meals or snacks unless his tray is full of things to play with.
It is an Olympic feat to change his diaper or to dress him. No matter how many things I have nearby to occupy him, he squirrels around twisting and turning until I left sweaty and breathless with a nearly dressed baby!
He gets his feelings hurt so badly when he is told no (like when reaching for a power cord or trying to feed Sadie from his high chair...I know, I am such a tough parent!). Its altogether so sad and quite hilarious.
And, lastly, his smile is contagious. I have never seen so many men, both young and old, be charmed by a baby as much as Rigby seems to charm them.
We love you, sweet Rigby.
