This blog has evolved, as I have, since its creation in 2008.  It started as a weekend project to share my recipes, photos, and weekly meal plans when my life was centered around myself, my husband, and our sweet dog, Sadie.  In those days, David and I made dinner together every night and lingered over our meal sharing the food and an uninterrupted conversation.  Seven years later, life looks very different.  We grew to a family of four and our two little boys demand most of our time.  Dinner is a juggling act sandwiched between bath time and bed time, yet, it remains one of my top priorities.  Feeding my family is the most gratifying job of my life.  This blog is a collection of the food I serve to my family.  The food is simple, seasonal, and nutritious.  And, it is clear that I have a passion for sweet treats as recipes for cookies and muffins appear often.  Along with food, this blog is a platform for sharing my family's adventures, both near and far.  We love journeys and I am so happy that you are here to share this one with me.

My husband, David, and I grew up in Pensacola, Florida.  We began dating the summer after we graduated from high school, months before we left Florida to attend Davidson College.  After Davidson, we spent two years in Boston before moving to Atlanta to pursue our graduate and medical studies.  We married while living in Atlanta and it was three years after getting married that I started this blog.  In October of 2009, we welcomed our first son Jack into the world.

Moving is not unfamiliar to us, as the three of us left Atlanta after living there for eight years and moved across the country to Seattle where David is completing his Radiology residency at the University of Washington and I worked as a dietitian until recently deciding to be a stay-at-home parent after our second son Rigby was born in April of 2015.

My work has been included in Pregnancy and Newborn Magazine, The Runcible Spoon, and Sports, Cardiovascularand Wellness Nutrition journal.
